What We Do:
Woodcraft Rangers provides TK-12 expanded learning programs, including before and after school, specialty enrichment, and summer learning. In the past few years, Woodcraft has expanded its menu of services beyond traditional afterschool programs and summer camps to include early learning, environmental and social justice, college access, and inclusion services for youth with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Additionally, we offer Lifecraft, a college and career advancement program to support the development of approximately 1,000 staff. Today, Woodcraft Rangers serves more than 20,000 youth ages 4-18 annually in and from 110+ Title I schools across LA County!
Ideal Candidate:
The Ideal Candidate is detail-oriented, energetic, ambitious, proactive, and positive, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Multi-tasking and attention to detail must be strengths this individual possesses. Individuals need to be comfortable to present and speak in front of staff and peers during in-person training. They embrace Woodcraft Rangers’ mission and values and are dedicated to fostering inclusive and culturally responsive programs.
Role Overview:
The Field Trip Coordinator is responsible for the planning and coordinating of all field trips. This includes administrative duties, communicating with vendors and staff, as well as organizing events.
This is a hybrid work position. The Field Trip Coordinator will be expected to frequently work in the office, in the field at events and occasionally has the flexibility to work from home.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with program management and site coordinators to plan and organize program events and off-site field trips.
- Review event proposals and entry forms and process approved events, including but not limited to generating permission slips.
- Secure and coordinate transportation, venue and permits as necessary.
Organize logistics of events, including but not limited to materials, staffing, resources, etc…
Collaborate with the Sports Coordinator to plan and organize sports events and trips.
- Oversee the Field Trips Tracker and ensure field trip event information is up to date.
- Support Field Trips Manager with Agency Events
Strong attention to detail, administrative, and problem-solving abilities
- Managed all administrative aspects of field trip and event planning, ensuring accuracy of documentation invoices, and compliance requirements.
- Identified and resolved scheduling, transportation, and vendor challenges while maintaining seamless event operations.
Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work under shifting deadlines - Coordinated multiple field trips and events simultaneously, managing competing priorities, vendor deadlines, transportation logistics, and internal approvals in a fast-paced environment.
- Successfully met strict submission timelines while adapting to last-minute changes and operational needs.
