This event is open to the public and offers a fantastic opportunity for anyone interested in joining Woodcraft in roles such as Camp Leaders, Jr. Rangers Camp Leaders, Camp Community Liaisons, and Camp Floaters. We will be conducting on-the-spot interviews, and candidates may even be hired the same day! Additionally, this event will provide the chance to learn more about our organization and the positive impact we make.
Job Title: Camp Leader
Pay Range: $20.50 - $24.15
Status: Part-time, Non-Exempt
Schedule: 20-25 hours/week; shifts vary by location and may include evenings, weekends, and required trainings.
Reports to: Camp Coordinator
Program hours of operation: 8:00 AM – 5:00/6:00 PM (varies per location)
Locations: Moreno Valley Unified School District.

What We Do:
Woodcraft Rangers provides TK-12 expanded learning programs, including before and after school, specialty enrichment, and summer learning. In the past few years, Woodcraft has expanded its menu of services beyond traditional afterschool programs and summer camps to include early learning, environmental and social justice, college access, and inclusion services for youth with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Additionally, we offer Lifecraft, a college and career advancement program to support the development of approximately 1,500 staff. Today, Woodcraft Rangers serves more than 25,000 youth ages 4 to 18 each year across 130 plus Title I schools in Los Angeles, San Bernardino, and Riverside counties, and continues to expand its reach.
Job Summary:
Camp Leaders are responsible for ensuring a fun and positive learning environment for campers and will support clubs of approximately 20 children. Camp leaders have the opportunity to grow, connect, play and have the greatest impact on each of their camper’s summer. Other members of the team include a camp coordinator, who oversees the program and a community liaison who supports the camp coordinator. All camp staff can choose between working in day camps, sleepaway camp or both.
The Camp Leader position is an on-site position, including attending training at the Woodcraft Rangers main office in Little Tokyo and school sites.
